The Guest Experience Lead (GEL) is a part of an outstanding team that delivers personalized experiences for every guest visiting the restaurant for their favorite McDonald’s menu items. The GEL makes sure guests have a great experience by welcoming them to the restaurant, helping them through the ordering processes, and talking with them in the dining room.
Common Tasks • Welcome guests to the restaurant • Help guests use the kiosk and ensure accurate ordering • Provide food recommendations • Visit with guests in the dining room • Answer all questions throughout their visit • Solve guests' problems as they arise • Adjust your interactions based on the guest's desired experience • Ask every guest how they enjoyed their experience and invite them back soon
Skills You Need • Hospitality: Hosts must go above and beyond to provide outstanding service to every guest. • Social: Host must feel comfortable talking with all types of guests. • Communication: In a friendly and genuine way, Hosts make guests feel welcomed. • Adaptability: Hosts must read people accurately and adapt their own interactions accordingly. • Self control: Hosts be able to perform during stressful or difficult situations. • Follow-through: Hosts make sure all responsibilities are completed. • Team Player: Hosts must work well in team environments and keep track of many details. • Self-starter: Hosts must take initiative to solve guests' problem and decide on a course of action.
