Job Description

The Global Impact team is looking for a dynamic Manager, Global Campaigns to develop brand communications content that drives trust and mitigates reputational risk. In this role, you will lead coordinated, global communications campaigns across paid, earned, and owned media to proactively and reactively address issues impacting the reputation of the business, and will be responsible for accomplishing associated measurable campaign objectives. You will also support the development and execution of future-forward reputation strategies and tactical plans related to topical priorities outlined in the McDonald’s Brand Leadership Platform. The Manager will collaborate with Global Communications colleagues on message development, insights, analytics, issues management, ad provide thought leadership to execute campaigns that support the overarching brand communications strategy.

In this role, you will also:

  • Develop brand communications and compelling, creative content to drive trust across media, partners and consumers, aligned with the function’s management-approved metrics.

  • Build materials for global campaigns that address risks and opportunities for McDonald’s reputation and brand trust, in order to help the business, mitigate those risks and take advantage of opportunities.

  • Collaborate with content and creative teams responsible for developing compelling content and creative that articulates the company's purpose and brings its leadership platform to life across a range of media channels.

  • Work closely with insights and analytics functions and agency partners to ensure research tools lead to successful campaigns and measurable improvements in trust and reputation.

  • This position may manage one employee

Qualifications

  • Experience leading communications strategies for consumer and partner audiences and the relevant use of earned, owned, and paid media in order to influence a desired outcome

  • Experience in providing strategic counsel to senior business executives with regards to brand reputation, issues management, partner engagement, message strategy development, media strategy, planning and execution

  • Global communications experience with a consumer-facing brand in QSR, food and beverage, and/or consumer goods

  • Experience with franchised and international businesses

  • Strong eye for business and proven strategic, analytical and creative skills

  • Significant knowledge and experience in working with local markets, as part of a global communications function/organization

  • Highly collaborative and adept at leading and influencing cross-functional teams effectively, internally as well as external partners and agencies

  • Proven experience in crucial communications and/or partner engagement (possibly in corporate, agency or relevant NGO/association environments)

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university

  • Demonstrated skills from varied professional backgrounds including: Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, and Business
