Job Description:

Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. The Marketing and Development (MARDEV) team is responsible for the development and execution of the organization’s global marketing and fundraising strategies. Within that area of responsibility, the team oversees the RMHC brand including compliance, consistency, positioning and communication across the entire RMHC Chapter system in 64 countries and regions. MARDEV builds the brand strategy and guidelines while serving as a brand consultant for the individual Chapters. In addition, the team executes Global tactics that support and increase awareness for the brand and the RMHC mission. Global tactics include: planning, development and implementation across paid, owned and earned media; digital and social media content and campaign creation; public relations; crisis communication; print advertising; content management across the website; and corporate marketing activation. The team also manages the interface between RMHC and the McDonald’s Global/U.S. marketing and communications relationships to ensure continuity and promote co-brand building.

RMHC is seeking a Communications Supervisor to administer and develop content across all RMHC social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn). As the Communications Supervisor, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring all day-to-day social content for RMHC Global brand, in collaboration with creative content team.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field

5+ years of experience in social media management

Natural storyteller with excellent speaking, writing and editing/proofreading skills

Experience using digital management and monitoring tools (Sprinklr, Ad Accounts, Meltwater) and knowledge of SEO standard methodologies and web traffic metrics

Ability to thrive in dynamic environments, while being flexible, reciprocal and deadline driven

Strong social skills with a deep understanding and desire to continually learn about new media tools and trends

Excellent skills in microsoft word, excel, and powerpoint

Experience with internal client management, project management and a passion for delivering with excellence

Strong time-management skills and proven ability to handle several projects/initiatives at once




  • Determining benchmark metrics to measure social media programs

  • Reporting on effectiveness to internal partners and help to evaluate and optimize

  • Provide sample social guides and standard methodologies for the RMHC system

  • Develop and maintain RMHC social content calendar

  • Find opportunities for growth or focus in the social space

  • Run and develop corporate partner integrated campaigns, owning social activation,

  • Maintain knowledge of key digital technologies, social media design tools, best practices and emerging trends, including - Platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)

  • Support the Communications Manager with traditional media relations and crisis communications, as needed.
