Job Description:

This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Commercial Products & Platforms team. Our vision is to develop technology that delights our customers and enables our crews to operate our restaurants efficiently and effectively.

The Sr Manager Tech Lead Customer Data is responsible for delivering engineering outcomes by developing data-driven products that resonate with users and support the company's growth objectives. As the Tech Lead of the customer data product line, this individual will lead multi-functional teams, product Manager, data teams, and the Architecture team to perform solution requirements feasibility, build and deliver solutions and will be accountable for driving a performant and maintainable architectural integration while collaborating closely between Product teams and vendor technical points of contact on a day-to-day basis. The position requires partnering closely with product and data teams to leverage vendor capabilities across our digital products and data platforms in ways that engage and delight our customers.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Solution sessions with product domains and liaise with third-party engineering teams to map dependencies, align requirements, and define shared implementation details.

  • Partner with PM to participate in the entire lifecycle of the backlog grooming process.

  • In partnership with VMO, lead the performance and reliability of external systems and third-party squads to ensure they meet the standards required by McD

  • Ensure integrations are aligned with architecture standards for resiliency and security.

  • Maintain documentation standards for adopting and operationalizing third-party software and relevant integrations.

  • Answer technical inquiries from the squads and stay accountable for technical solutions.

  • Responsible for deploying new features, including QA, push to production, and defect remediation.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years' of consistent track record working in a software development environment as an engineer, data analyst, or data product manager.

  • Software development experience, with knowledge of developer workflows, processes, and tools

  • Experience partnering with team members across an at-scale, sophisticated, global matrixed org setup is a plus.

  • Working understanding of the latest development technologies

  • Knowledge of infrastructure and architecture

  • Solid grasp of standard methodologies in code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous deployment, scalable applications, and application security

  • Experience in Agile Development, application of Agile techniques and delivery practices.

  • Superb communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical decisions to non-technical collaborators.
